The
event took place at the sold out Air Canada Centre in Toronto,
Ontario
This pay-per-view was a co-production of RAW™
and Smackdown™.
ü
Match number one
- Smackdown™.
Six-man tag match between the team of the Dudleys Vs the team
of the WWE™
tag team champions Billy Kidman, Paul London and Rey Mysterio.
The 3-D won the match for the Dudleys
ü
Match number two
- RAW™. Till
Death Do Us Part.
Kane Vs Matt Hardy. The
winner would have the opportunity to marry Lita.
Kane hit the choke slam to pick up the pin-fall victory.
ü
Match number
three - Smackdown™.
John Cena Vs Booker T. This
match was the first in a best of five series to determine the United
States Champion. Cena hit his finisher - a Death Valley driver or what he
calls the FU.
ü
Match number
four - RAW™.
A triple threat match for the Intercontinental
Championship. Edge Vs
Batista Vs Chris Jericho. Edge
hit the spear on Jericho to pick up the pin-fall victory to retain
the Intercontinental Championship.
ü
Match number five - Smackdown™. Kurt Angle Vs Eddie
Guerrero. Kurt got the
tap out victory making Eddie tap out to the ankle lock.
ü
Match number six - RAW™. Triple H Vs Eugene. Triple
H picked up the pin-fall victory in this match.
ü
Match number seven - Smackdown™. WWE™ Championship John Bradshaw Layfield Vs the Undertaker.
JBL lost the match by DQ so the Undertaker won the match but
not the WWE™ Championship.
ü
Match
number eight - RAW™..
World Heavyweight Championship Chris Benoit Vs Randy Orton.
Orton got out of the crippler crossface and hit his finisher
the RKO to pick up the pin-fall victory to win the match and the
championship. This
makes Orton the youngest superstar in WWE™
history to be the World Heavyweight Champion.
He is 24 years old and no one has held the title at this
young age.
This was a very good pay-per-view.
The fans made some bizarre decisions on who they cheered for
and who they booed for in certain matches.
The results were unbelievable, as the fan favourites instead
of being cheered received the opposite reaction, in that they got
booed. For example,
Edge performed in his hometown, instead of him getting cheered for
by the fans, he got booed. It
was rather bizarre. The ACC was sold out with 17,640 fans in
attendance.
